In 2010, Shenyang Weizhong Revolving Machinery Co., Ltd. designed and delivered two large-scale rotary platforms (15-meter and 18-meter diameters) for China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) 54th Research Institute, tailored for precision military antenna testing. These platforms demanded exceptional accuracy, with positional precision of 0.01 degrees, and the ability to stop at predetermined angles at specified speeds while operating in stepping motion mode.
Leveraging their patented Pin-Gear drive technology, Shenyang Weizhong ensured seamless performance under extreme loads. The system’s robust gear engagement guaranteed stability for massive antennas, critical for satellite communications and radar calibration. Programmable controls enabled engineers to automate test sequences, achieving repeatable angular positioning essential for high-stakes military R&D.
